Who Am I?
I’m just a mom who’s super passionate about all things autism, parenting and homeschooling. Whether it’s chatting about parenting a neurodiverse child, or homeschooling your autistic child, you can bet I’m always buzzing with excitement about it! My daughter is 10, and I call her Bug on the internet. I try not to show her face, but I will show off her hair every chance I get lol! Yes, that is her real red hair. It’s gorgeous and has been that color since she was born. And yes, she has a personality to match!
What Is Not Harder, Just Different?
When I would talk about autism or chronic illness or parenting, I would find myself explaining “It’s not harder, necessarily, it’s just different”. Not Harder, Just Different was born from that sentiment, that parenting a child with autism (or having chronic illness, or homeschooling, etc. etc. etc.) isn’t harder, it’s just different! This is a hangout spot for all the things I love to talk about: autism, parenting, neurodiversity, chronic illness (because just having an autism child wasn’t enough for me!) and everything in between. It’s where we come together to learn from each other, gather wisdom and (hopefully!) laugh a little about this crazy journey we’re on. From practical tips on parenting or homeschooling to heartwarming stories that’ll make you smile, there’s a little something for everyone here.
